Backing up your WordPress website is important, having a backup for disaster recovery will save you a lot of headaches when something goes wrong.

Most hosting providers should have a 30-day rolling backup option when you set up a hosting plan. You can then access the backups via your hosting control panel in the event you need to reinstate your site.

Before purchasing a hosting solution or your WordPress website, make sure the hosting provider has a backup option.

Alternatively, you can install a plugin to make a backup of your website yourself.

In most cases, it is easier to restore a backup from the hosting company rather than having to restore the backup manually yourself.

Here are some backup plugins you may want to consider:

Some of these backup plugins have free and paid versions.

I often use the Duplicator plugin to back up smaller websites and it can also be used to migrate websites"

At present I use SiteGround for most of my WordPress websites, it is not the cheapest hosting solution, but for me, it is the most reliable and they offer 30-day rolling backups!
